iCoolWebsites require that your domain name is registered by us giving us proper access to everything we need to be able to host and look after your website and your email addresses.

Choosing a domain name

Getting the right domain name can be tricky especially if your preferred website address has already been taken by someone else.

We will check it's availability and advise you to make sure you get the best domain name available.

If you buy a .nz or .com domain name it is free.  If you require another domain extension just ask us and we'll advise the cost.  The costs of domain names can vary.

Some tips

✓ Don't use hyphens, underscores or punctuation marks
✓ Try to choose a domain that cannot be misspelt easily
✓ A .co.nz or a .com domain implies it is for a commercial organisation.
✓ A .org domain implies it is a non profit
✓ If you choose a combination of words, check they don't spell something inappropriate when the words are run together

What if you already have a domain name?

If you already have a domain name, then you will need to email the company you registered it with, to ask for a UDAI code.  Send the code to us and we'll transfer the domain and organise all your website hosting and email requirements.
